Dinah has had an unfortunate run in with a ladder that was propped up against the wall. It came crashing down and unfortunately caught her leg in between it and the cement floors. Fortunately we were able to rush her to the emergency vet pretty quickly.

She's pretty out of it right now, her eyes are totally dilated, as you can see. She's going to hopefully go in for surgery tomorrow. With luck everything will be fine and she'll just have to wear a cast for a while. It broke all four metatarsals so it couldn't just be splinted unfortunately. It also gave her a little cut, but fortunately the bones were all still on the inside (I'm queasy just thinking about that scenario).
I wish my health insurance could cover animals too. I mean come on, they use Snoopy as a mascot, but no pet coverage? I think all in all she'll be fine, but everyone keep your fingers crossed and wish her well.

Update: As opposed to opening her up and doing surgery they are going to manipulate the bones. This involves lining the bones up by hand and then putting a cast on.They say for breaks like this it's a much better alternative and obviously far less invasive. With any luck it will also be a little better on the pocketbook. The Emergency trip was about $500 and if they had performed surgery it would be $1500 - $2000. Maybe I'll win the lottery today.
Update: She's doing well. She now has a purple cast. It's costing me $100 a pop to get the splint redone, but other than that she is being a well behaved lady.
