Komputarz und Such!

Well I've had a couple large hardware failures here recently, but that shall soon be rectified. 1. The iMac. It's my work (Apple) computer. The hard drive was a bit wonky on it and it finally took a dive. I swapped it out at work, albeit for a more shite machine that I hope to get replaced soon. I also snagged a little 150 gig drive to run time machine on.

2. My old PC finally had the motherboard go out on it. I'm not too surprised. It was pieced together sometime in 2003 and has been going almost non-stop ever since. The old boss from American Scooter Center is assembling a new monster for me, that should definitely suit all my needs. I'll be doing some more site work for the shop in exchange. I should be getting the PC later today, so I definitely look forward to it.

Update update.

I'm now rocking some dual core sweetness. 2.2ghz CPU overclocked to 2.93 and 4 gigs of ram. The only downside is that I had to "upgrade" to vista to be able to use the full compliment of ram sweetness. I would have gone with a 64 bit version of XP but they suck hard. So Vista 64 it is. I'm glad I have the power to run it now but it does sadden me to see over a gig used on just powering the OS. At least I have 3 more to spare =)
